Terms & Conditions of Hire

📌 Please Read Before Booking

We’re proud to offer a welcoming and flexible community space for events of all kinds — from children’s parties to community meetings, dance classes, and private functions. To help ensure that the Centre runs smoothly for everyone, please read the following terms and conditions before making a booking.

💰 Hire Charges

Hire fees vary depending on the type of event, duration, and specific requirements (e.g. kitchen use, extended access, security needs). For this reason, we don’t publish a fixed rate card.

To get an accurate quote, please call 01708 551233 and speak to our bookings team directly. We’ll be happy to talk through your plans and provide a tailored price based on:

• Type of event (e.g. children’s party, community meeting, evening reception)
• Day and time of hire
• Any additional services or requests

🕐 Minimum Booking Period

• The minimum booking duration is 3 hours.
• Additional time must be agreed in advance to allow for setup and pack-down.

💳 Deposits

• A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your date.
• A refundable damage deposit may also apply depending on the type of event. This will be returned provided the Centre is left in good condition.

🧹 Responsibilities of Hirers

We kindly ask all hirers to:

• Leave the hall clean and tidy after use
• Take away any rubbish or recycling that doesn’t fit in the bins provided
• Ensure all tables and chairs are put away as found (unless otherwise agreed)
• Report any damage or issues immediately

Failure to follow these terms may result in partial or full loss of deposit.

🔞 Supervision & Conduct

• All children’s events must be supervised by responsible adults at all times.
• The Centre is located in a residential area — we ask hirers to be considerate of our neighbours when it comes to noise levels and departure times.

🚭 Smoking & Alcohol

• The Centre is a non-smoking venue.
• Alcohol may be permitted at private events but must be discussed with us in advance and may be subject to additional conditions or licensing requirements.

🔐 Access & Security

• The Centre is fitted with CCTV and security lighting.
• You will be given instructions for key collection or staff access (depending on your booking type).
• The building must be securely locked after your event unless a Centre representative is present.
